Passing the farm on to the next generation in a better way than we received it is more than an ideal. It’s a continuing practice. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> As we continue to examine and adopt technologies, we also review and implement conservation strategies to protect our farm, not just optimize it. Cover crops are grown to conserve nutrients, protect soil, and improve soil heath. Strip till is a way to reduce tillage (leaving an untilled portion of the field between rows). Strip till also offers a means of precision fertilizer placement. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> Strip till and cover crop adoption has continued to grow in our operation.
